If you do it half-baked, you've basically placed a bomb right at your back. Battery shorts on the seat, BOOM, and whoever's driving really won't care about much about anything after that. Protect the terminals whatever else you do.
Check the clearance for 3pt implements. If the implement comes up to full height and pushes the battery into the seat, you could end up with BOOM again from a shorted battery, or at least a surprising push from behind that you weren't expecting.
This puts the battery a much longer distance from the starter. Use 0 or 00 gauge cables to ensure reliable starting. The cost of these may make you reconsider the project.
If you are relocating the battery because you jump it a lot, you might do better to try and fix the problem instead of relocating the battery.
