Do what most heavy equipment owners do : 1- leave the battery where it is. 2 - Go to a forklift dealer or NAPA parts house, and get a pair of "SB" connectors in the appropriate amperage size ( SB connectors come in sizes of 25 amps to 300 amps ) 3 - Connect one SB with wires and eye terminals to the battery clamp bolts. 4 - Bolt the "tractor" SB in an easy to get to, inconspicuous location.
5 - The 2nd SB is wired to battery post clamps like on jumper cables.
SB Connectors are polarity guarded and even most idiots cannot cross +and- when plugging in an SB to an SB
Most 18 wheelers and wrecker truck have this arrangement and it works well and carries plenty amperage if you get correct size SB & wire
