Is the downward and back exhaust and muffler out of place on my old '49 Cub? If so, I can replace it later. It is convenient for directing the exhaust away from my breathing. For now, I want to get the old thing running. I finished lubrication and started replacing wiring today. It is a slow process as I clean contact surfaces, checking wires and connections with an ohm meter. I verified the ignition switch works and managed to clean up one of its wire posts. The switch needs a knob and I will most likely make one of thick plastic or of aluminum - using my small lathe.
