Ok, this is the latest installment on me updating the PTO shaft in this thing. I have a 24000 serial #, but a '39, or old style dog pto engagement. I think someone swapped out the front end of this tractor with a newer one, which would explain the '39 style pto. seen here:

I have since got a new and improved version of the pto, but it needs a different countershaft. I've got all the shafts and bearings out of it, and I had the gears pressed off the old, and onto the new. I attempted to drop it in, but it doesn't get past the oil gutters on the top. I'm guessing that this is a "old style" casting and that's why the new shaft doesn't fit. Dimension wise, they are the same (gear area), except for the spline end is bigger compared to the dog style end. copy and paste these in your browser to view:
