This '05 Deere has hydrostatic steering....now what the difference is from 'hydraulic', I don't know. Maybe it uses a 'motor' instead of a cylinder.....I've never bothered to look!
One of the first PS tractors I ever ran was a mid 70's JD 830. That is a nice little tractor and steers with one finger.....at least the one I used, did.
