Sorry It took a few days to get back here. Still plagued with this problem.
CNKS (your not from Kansas by chance?), I didn't mention as I thought it was already implied, but I did soak the carb (It wasn't overnight but it was for several hours) and blew out the orifices, both with carb cleaner and air. Their didn't seem to be any blockage. Also I only applied a very thin layer of permatex to the carb/manifold gasket just to alleviate any suspicion of warping.
My followup question is setting the float. I didn't specifically see any adjustment, short of bending the float frame itself. How do you go about adjusting the float height?
