Just leave it 6V. When you add the 12v system you have to get a 12v genny or an alternator, with the latter you have to make some modifications to fit under the hood right. As for igniton you would have to chagne nothing if its still a mag. but if it is a dist. then you need a ballast resistor. all the rest of the ignition does not have to changed. The starter can be left alone. My personaly feeling is that i would keep it orginal and thus 6v just my thoughts though. It keeps the tractor 100% orginal and a good 6v system will start an H just fine, just make sure to have good heavy battery cables 00 gauge or better, not weak 2 gauge then youll have all kinds of troubles.
