Pete: While I had no problems using just two 5/8" as Keith suggested. I can see where four of the 5/8" all thread will make it much more stable. I can't fault your caution, new cast is much too expensive. I must admit I had some corcerns about the fact that crankshaft is offset about 1/2" from centerline of the two diagnol opposite holes in block. It did work, and I had no problems.
