If #2 is not firing at all, then there would have to be no compression(or very little). You can visually check your valves to ensure they are not stuck open by pulling the plug and hit the starter (with ignition off) and watching the valves. You may need a light to do this. I agree with checking the compression...I could have saved myself many hours of troubleshooting If I had done that. I had two wires switched on mine and it was a bear to start and it ran like a Johnny Popper until I figured it out. I figured it out by pulling #1 plug and watching the piston until it was at TDC on the compression stroke. Then I pulled the distributor cap to make sure it was pointing to the plug wire that was going to #1. I then hit the starter to see which way the rotor spins. From there, make sure the next wire on the distributor goes to #3 (third hole from the front). Next #4 and last #2. Somewhere in the midst of doing all this you should find the problem...Steve
