I'm approaching retirement and live in the south where heating isn't a big deal but it get's very hot in summer. I've toyed with the idea of buying a place in say Nova Scotia or PEI where the summers are cool. Migrate south in the winter, north in the summer. Let nature do the heating and cooling.
Sold my diesel ford truck and now have a gas truck. I'm keeping an eye on the new diesel technology and may switch back as the economics dictate. If you're pulling a load you have no choice and you have to pass on the higher cost.
