Just bought a used starter for my 1943 H. The H has been changed to 12 v system. Now as I shop on ebay, I see some for 6v and 12v. What if this is a 6v and my systems is 12? The listing that I bought it from doesn't say either. So will it work? I've got the used one left and I know the pole twisted away from the sodared windings. I tried to sodar and burned the insulation so shorts out on housing. Maybe send mine to motorshop and resell this one...it does have ser# but I sure would like to use it if there's no big deal.
