Hi Mike, I was just reading the service manual for my 28 chevy truck and it said there was an air cushion supposed to be in the line going to the oil gauge. So it might be a good idea to get it all tightened up before starting instead of letting the air bleed out. I have seen some gauges read jumpy and I suppose that is because of no air in the oil gauge line. how is everything else going like the sheet metal and trans leak? I may be leaving Monday so if I get the truck picked up early enough I may be able to give you a hand before the show if you need one.
