If the carb only has one adjustment screw on it, it is the idle mixture adjusting screw. You adjust it to set the mixture at idle. Generally you start with the screw 1 1/2 turns out from all the way in. I usually end up on the 1" Zeniths with the screw 1/2 turn out.
