USE IT! My 42 H provided a good 40 years or so of service before being parked, and after some parts and a rebuild I expect it to go at least another 40 years before it needs any work again.
Dad's H has been in service since new, he ran it in the 70's and rebuilt it - sold to a relative who used it from then until 2006 when I bought it back. And guess what? We are using it again for haying, running the auger, grinder, etc.
Would love to see some pictures of it! Does it have the old style channel iron seat with the cutout in the platform?
