Thanks all for the replies. Splitting the tractor and doing gears is way over my head. Just read the I&T manual too. :D I redrained the transmission box and pto and pulley box. Looked like oozing molasses w bubbles in it. Put new Lucas 80w-90 in and seemed to quite down some except in reverse. Will keep reading the manuals and your posts to learn. Thanks-Pa. PS: Ma already says can't spend any more money and weekends on/with my tractor!!
