I am working on a Farmall C. Around the real axle where it comes out of the housing when driven it leaks oil. I figured ther was a seal in that flange piece that bolts on. So I started working on getting the back wheel broken loose so I could slide it off to remove the flange that is held by four bolts. As I was sliding the wheel off I noticed the axle moves in and out about 1/4" to 3/8" is this indicating I have a bigger problem or is this normal. If the axle isn't suppose to slide in and out that amount what do I need to look at for the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
