After you get done what Jim suggested, have someone (or do it yourself) fabricate brackets to fit the bolt holes up along side of the one you are working on. I repaired more than one of those. On some I tapped the casting out to 7/8. If the 3/4 holes aren't too bad I got studs from John Deere that had a larger than standard thread on one end and fitted them as deep as they would go. then use nuts to fasten the bracket on. Then fabricate the irons , weld them to the bottom bracket and bolt them to the sides. The ones I repaired never came loose again.
