I would never sandblast an assembled tractor just to make it look pretty. If I wasn't taking the tractor apart, I would steam clean, use a good paint stripper, and then use the angle grinder with a wire brush. When you sandblast, that sand gets into many places you don't want it to. Any external seals, vent holes, moving parts that are greased (like the clutch shaft and brake shafts)will all have sand imbedded in them. I sandblast my tractors when I restore them, but only after disassembly and only parts that can be thoroughly cleaned afterward to remove any residual sand and parts that don't make any difference like rear wheels, brackets, etc. Roger
