My 93 year old father-in-law who is not known for getting his facts mixed up or telling stories told the story of luckily getting a new H Farmall from the Lohrville, Ia IH dealer in '45 or'46 because the WWII vets all wanted M'S. He farmed one season with it and it started using a lot of oil. When he and his friend tore it down to put in an oversize kit, they found the H had NO RINGS! One season, no rings!
