424 is open center hydraulics. I have a 2444 an industrial version of virtually the same tractor. Do you just have one lever under the seat ? Or two ? The remote valves are actually on the left side of the seat. Do both hoses from the remote valve go to the rear remote hookup ? If so the rear remote is plumbed as a two way remote. If one of the lines on the remote hookup goes back to the top rear of the lift box under the seat is is plumbed as a one way, lift only.
