I have a log splitter set up for the open center system on my '71 JD 820. I'd like to be able to also use the splitter on my '67 IH 424. The 424 has a single hose loader (trip bucket) that operates off of the lever below the seat. I haven't figured out the remotes on the back of the tractor yet. I figured that since the 424 has the separate oil reservoir for the hydraulics, by using the same fluid in both tractors I'd avoid contamination. My question, is the 424 an open center system like the JD, how should I plumb it for the 424, and does anyone foresee a problem sharing the splitter? Thanks in advance.
