I split my tractor yeserday to replace the clutch on my 51" Cub...thought everything went good untill I was bolting the tractor back together & I heard a SNAP! Looked in through the clutch inspection hole & saw that I had broken the clutch disc...litterally pressed the center right out of the disc. I have a new clutch disc on the way. I"m assuming even though I thought I had it centered, I didn"t...or, my splines weren"t lined up (but it seemed to slide right in)....the only other thing I can think of is that the cener of the new disc comes in more than one size? I"m going to take it apart again when the new disc arrives, any pionters? I"ve replced clutches before & this is the 1st one I broke...
