See scott rukke' post below. I waited for Sweets to go out on errands, and put mine in the oven at 500* for an hour while she was out. I spent the oven time rolling the tractor down near the kitchen door so the pulley wouldn't hcool down too much.
I got away with that one.
I got caught on my ring gear. Again, Sweets was gonna be out. I quick-like put the flywheel in the freezer (that part went okay) and put the ring gear in the oven, again at 500. What I hadn't allowed for was the cosmolene on the ring gear.
