My pulley could work for him and it may be his last opportunity to get something that meets his needs. If cooling is a problem, he will have to find a way to handle that problem. Icepack???
However, if he retains his 1000 rpm PTO and adapts my 540 gearbox, his tractor will only need to run at half of rated rpm to get 1000 rpm out of the pulley. That probably wouldn't overheat the gearbox and it might deliver enough power to run what he wants. I have no idea what it takes to run a thresher. I suppose size matters.
