Naw yall missed what he's talking about. When that tractor is set up right to run distillate the fuel from the distillate tank goes through a preheat chamber if the manifold is the right one. That's what the other lever is on and original manifold. It looks like a choke lever, but it opened a port to put the exhaust gases out across the intake when pulled. It worked much like a EGR valve does on todays engines. . Hot gasoline is much more volatile than the fuel. That distillate was'nt very powerful even when heated, but the gas will kill you. Yall please don't confuse this and get the man hurt or killed. Back before life flight and burn centers got here, we had to know these things to live. If you don't know the difference please leave it alone.
