Scanned the thread about the gentleman wanting to put the 300 rear on an H and all the potential problems with that, My question is would there be any major challenges to putting a 300 engine in front of an H rear?
I know where there's a 300 (or was it a 350?, will have to look again) with a good engine but the rear end is ruined from sitting with water in it. Would the clutch from an H bolt onto a 300 or 350 flywheel or could you use the same clutch and simply ignore the IPTO drive part of it? Another way of asking, are the transmission input shaft splines different?
