I would check to see how many hours are on the engine, how many hours on a major overhaul, is a coolant filter being used, has it been changed frequently. I had to rebuild my dad"s 1066 last winter, only had about 5500 hours in it, but the sleeves had developed cavitation pits and water was getting in the oil. It has a coolant filter, but dad probably never changed it.
