If the pitman arms move together, there is a small tapered pin that rides in the cam tube, it looks like a large worm gear. The tapered pin fits in one of the gear sectors, I think the LH side and follows the spriral groove in the cam tube. Yours could have broken off or just wore out. The one on my 350u was worn so I ground the head off and made a new one. Theoretically they are supposed to rotate and wear evenly, but mine had flats on the sides. A good machine shop should be able to make and install one for you.
