Hey guys. Working on that '53 SH that I bought. Just got done putting new plugs, wires, po9ints, condensor, rotor, distributor cap and carb. rebuild kit on it. Went to fire it up yesterday and drive it around a little and couldn't get it to start. Cranked it for maybe 10 seconds just fine but it didn't fire. Let off and then tried again but this time I didn't get anything. The starter wouldn't even turn over; tried throughout the rest of the day but still the same. Battery and cables are new but I haven't checked the starter or solenoid yet. Anybody know how I go about doing that? Also, it has been converted to twelve volt with an alternator so it sould have a twelve starter and solenoid right? Thank you!!!
