I'll add to what George said: If the choke lever is on the outside, it is for an M. If the choke lever is on the engine side, it is for a Super M, or perhaps a Super H, a 400 or a 450. The super M/super H carb will have the idle adjust screw in the same location as an M carb (going in at an angle on the body above the bowl). A 400/450 carb will have the idle adjustment screw located high on the carb body - like way up on the manifold mounting flange. Super M carb number on the brass tag is 356948R92; distillate/kero super M starts with 357xxx; super H starts with 358xxx; and 400/450 starts with something like 362173R91 and R92. A regular M gas carb number is 50983DC. A regular M distillate/kero carb starts with 47xxx. If you have a Super M carb and don't want it, I want one for my super M. (I have a regular M gas carb.)
