Mike, try to get the environmental office to approve blasting with an environmentally approved blasting agent. After all, we would not like to have you California guys exposed to sand. Especially, Navy guys in California!

Actually, it makes sense. The sand is knocking loose hazardous materials like paint, oil, hydraulic fluid, etc. If that goes down a regular drain it will contaminate. I just wish they would secure the area better, rather than just shutting the whole thing down.
