Previous owner fitted this quick drain device to the block. I drained out what little water was left in the block and pulled the fitting (in prep to replace it with an original plug.)
It looks like they muscled in this device, because the threads look munched and it comes to a bit of a point, like it didn't fit the block size. I can't see the threads in the block very well to see if they are damaged. I'll take another look when it's dry.
Do you think anyone would be interested in this drain device, or is it junk now?
Should I tap the block threads before putting in a new plug?
