If I understand right, my manual reads to install the mag at TDC #1, "Then crank the engine one complete rev to the next TDC". In reality the next TDC is #3 at 1/2 rev, but the flywheel isn't marked for #3 & #2 so we're going on to #4 just to use the flywheel reference mark to set the coupler timing? At this point, all I need to do is adjust the mesh of the gears in the distributor body, so that the rotor is pointing at #1 plug wire ? ? Chris, funny you should mention pushing snow . . .
