Im rebuilding a C-113 at this time. Nothing is wrong with your engine. No, it doesnt use cam bearings. The reason the front hole in the block is so big is because thats where all the presure from the cam gear being drivin by the crank gear is at. You should also notice( using a micrometer) that all three bearing journals on the cam are three different sizes. Put the cam back in the block, and see how it feels. It should not have but a very little bit of "Play" in it. Let us know how you made out. Steve T
