You have one more step you can do before the tapered arm kit. Make sure the spindle bushings and thrust bearings arre in good shape. Install the arm and nut as tight as you can. Make sure you haved the arm where you want it. Weld a bead completely around the nut, welding it to the top of the spindle. Weld the bottom outside of the nut to the arm. Your arms are already worn out along with some wear on the splindle splines. If in the future you want to go to the tapered arm kit, grind off the welds and get a new nut. There will still be enough good threads on the splindle to use a new nut.
