I looked im my manual and it says to add 20 pounds of calcium chloride to each 10 gallons of water. It also advised to add one pound of lime to each 100 pounds of CaCl2 used, so as to neutralize the acidity of the CaCl2. But it also said this was all for freezing weather and add water for temps over 32F. Seems like the extra weight is nice but would regular antifreeze work as well or is CaCl2 a whole lot cheaper?
