H Generator Update

Thanks for all the helpful information:) After trying the connections and the corrosion treatments. I rechecked the wire harness for shorts. And finally I took NE IA Dave's advice and justed smack the voltage regulator with a cresent wrench. Works Like NEW !!!!! for what its worth: Further investigation showed that the brushes were not seating on the generator properly and by smaking the voltage reg on top of the generator it let the brushes make better contact with the armature. Did a little P.M. and corrision control and Iam back to haying again. Thank you all for the information and suggestions you saved me a lot of time and money!!!!! JW in NH.
