cbot Dec corn about $3.50, Nov beans about $8.30. Local basis will vary. Still good prices and many farmers have locked in better on corn. Wheat has been the best play and may be for next year where you can grow it.

Corn price driven by ethanol. Wheat by 2 years of less than average crops. Soybeans because so much corn was planted. Farmers who book ahead will have another year of this at least. That is if the weather cooperates. I"m sure we will grow ourselves out of these prices as we have in the past. As far as milk goes, it is about time the dairyman is getting some money for milk.
