The stock BN came 6 volt from the factory. So yours had to have converted to 12 volts sometime later. And there's many possible was to convert to 12 volts - so there's literally dozens possible wiring diagrams.

Post back whether your BN has a generator or alternator. Also the manufacturer of the generator/alternator, whether it has an external voltage regulator, and if so the number of terminals on the voltage regulator.

With this info (and a bit of luck...) we should be able to identify a schematic that will work for you.
