leaking arround bottom is a common problem on a cold morning after first starting. The common problem fixing it is getting the wrong sleeve from the parts man. The new one should be about 1/8 or 3/16" longer than your old one so that it commpresses when you assemble it. There are about 3 or 4 different part numbers in the IH system that are close but not close enough. I have replaced dozens of them over the years.
