H Experts; Need Your Expertise

Howdy, Boys: You know how a late 1950 M, and newer, had the heavier duty timing gear and newer style front engine cover (like a Super M) so you can easily add a live hydrulic pump with all assurances it will last? Well, when did the H get that same similar change/update? Or did it not happen until the stage one super H? Is there a way to visually recognize/identify the newer style on an H without disassembly? Thanks. mike
