12 volt coversion on a h or super m

well has any one changed there 6 volt system over to 12 by useing a 12 volt gen to keep orginal aperrence? I know i will have to change lights and put a resistor in or get a 12 volt coil with internal resistor but what else/ IM READY TO LISTEN PLEASE HELP I WANT THEM TO START NOT JUST ERRRRR ERRRRRR ERRRR AND GET A PULL OR CHARGER CAN YOU CHANGE A 6VOLT GEN TO 12 OR DO I HAVE TO GET ONE OFF A 560 OR 460
