Fluid in front tires? Dumb idea??

I am assuming that putting fluid in the front tires for weight is a really bad idea. I get this impression since no one here has addressed it, so I am thinking everyone knows not to do it. The main draw back I can think of is at road speeds it could get very unfriendly, along with possibly decreasing the shock absorbtion ability of the tires. Other than that, it would seem to be a good alternative to those little iron wheel weights (of which I have a small stack). Any thoughts? I am not planning to go out and find more problems with this theory.
