need help with ID

I'm over from the Case board with a question. I'm helping both the seller and the buyer(odd position to be in)to evaluate a Farmall tractor. I can't find a serial #. It's a little offset red tractor, wide front, IH mag, 6 volt, the rear has that drop gearing going out to the wheels... What else can I look for to ID this thing. I see some casting #'s here and there but I didn't see any others. Is there a plate for serial #'s or are they stamped?
Trying to do this before Christmas... My buss. partner wants to give it to his wife for mowing their field.. Better than a vaccuum cleaner huh?
