I've used a 240 for a lot of things - but moving big round bales isn't one. If you weighted down the front you could probably do it but you'll be paying for it later. Just moving up in size to a 340 would make a lot of differance.

I personally have never seen a locking differential on a 240, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
