I pulled the dipstick, oil is normal color, indicating no moisture in the oil. I looked down the stack, nice black color, no rust. What does it take to pull the starter? just the 3 bolts? How do I shim is properly? I'm not convinced its the starter, but it would be alot cheaper if it was =). The starter never sounded like it engaged. So if the starter gear bendix is locked up, putting the tractor in gear shouldn't have broke it loose. I don't know. Next time it happens, I'll pull the starter and check it out. Where do you get new starters? Is the bendix rebuildable/ replaceable? I'm going to put some atf fluid in thecylinder since I wont be running her for a while. How much? I dont wanna foul the plug when I do go to run it. Thanks guys!!
