I had low oil presssure on mine for a long time.
After reading post after post on the subject, I took
off the oil pan removed the pump took it apart and
took the bottom plate wirh the grooves worn in it, and put a sheet of fine emery cloth on my table saw. Then I spent about half an hour just slideing the plate around on the emery cloth till the grooves were mostly gone. Reassembled the pump with a real thin gasket, and wound up with pressure about 50 pounds.
