Sandblast versus other media blast

Hi all,
I"m working on restoration of a 10-20. So far the engine, transmission, bull pinion shaft, bevel gear, radiator, rear deck and rear end cover have been removed. What remains is the frame with bull gear and front and rear axles with wheels. Can I have the frame sandblasted in this condition? Or can it safely be blasted with some other type of media (plastic, soda, etc.)? I"m concerned about grit in the axle bearings, etc.
Thank you for any advice or direction you can provide.
