What type of Belt pulley should I have???

Hi, Just came back from the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant Iowa, and I am confused...What type of belt pulley should I have on my 1942 H? I saw two types, steel and composite, and I had some tell me that the composite was on the older tractors and the steel was on the newer H's. I just want to make sure I am putting the right belt pulley on my tractor. Mine is a Dual fuel, with a cast iron shifter knob, if that makes any difference...
