Super A parts

I have a '49 SA with the R front wheel rim crumbling around the inner tube air valve.
1st question- it's a 4 inch rim, and this site sells a 3-inch, and Wengers in Pa. sells a 5 inch. Guess I'll not mind swapping both,and the tires, as the sidewalls have splitting in them, so is there any real-world reason to go with any particular size width of tire?
2nd question- is there any good list of aftermarket suppliers anywhere, or is this one of those 'hook-or-by-crook' deals, trying to find things? Internet searching is a slow drag, with my dial-up. I got a lot of other minor things I'd like to replace, and there aren't any local salvage yards that got Super A anything. Thank ya kindly.
